Yes. These are the most common boiler repairs we carry out. On a combi, no hot water with working heating often points to the diverter valve or flow sensor. On system and regular boilers, the cause is often a motorised valve, programmer or cylinder thermostat rather than the boiler itself. We test to find the cause before replacing anything.

If you have to top up the pressure regularly, water is escaping somewhere: a leak on pipework or a radiator, a failed pressure relief valve or a faulty expansion vessel. You can top up using the filling loop as shown in your boiler's user manual, but repeated pressure loss needs a Gas Safe engineer to find and fix the cause.

On homes with a hot water cylinder (S-plan or Y-plan systems), this is usually caused by a motorised valve, its wiring, the programmer or the cylinder thermostat, not the boiler. Check both heating and hot water are switched on at the programmer and the thermostats are turned up. If one still doesn't work, we can test and repair the controls.

Yes. Leaks usually come from a seal, the pump, the pressure relief valve or the condensate pipe. Switch the boiler off, put a container under the drip and call us. Never remove the boiler casing yourself. Only a Gas Safe registered engineer should work inside a gas boiler.

We carry out Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal and Baxi boiler repairs, as well as Glow-worm, Main and Potterton boilers. Main and Potterton are Baxi Heating brands, so parts and fault codes are often similar. We repair combi, system and regular boilers.

Vaillant F22 and Ideal F1 usually mean low water pressure. Vaillant F28, Worcester Bosch EA 227 and Ideal L2 mean the boiler couldn't light, often from a gas supply problem, a frozen condensate pipe or a worn ignition part. Baxi E133 is a gas supply or ignition fault, and Baxi E119 is often low pressure. In cold weather, Baxi codes can also mean a frozen condensate pipe. You can thaw the outside pipe with warm (never boiling) water and reset once. If the code comes back, call us.
