Last updated: 01/09/2026

These Terms & Conditions set out the general terms that apply when GX7 Services Ltd provides quotations, appointments, plumbing, heating or gas services, installations, repairs or related work. Specific quotations or written agreements may contain additional terms that apply to an individual job.

Quotations and Estimates

Where GX7 provides a quotation, it is based on the information available at the time, including any descriptions, photographs, site inspections or other details supplied by the customer. A quotation may need to be revised if additional faults, hidden defects, access problems, unsuitable existing installations or additional work are discovered after work begins. GX7 will explain any significant additional work or cost before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

Appointments and Access

Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property, appliances, pipework, controls and other relevant areas required to carry out the agreed work. Appointment times may occasionally need to change because of emergencies, previous jobs taking longer than expected, traffic, parts availability or other circumstances outside GX7’s reasonable control. GX7 will aim to communicate significant delays or changes where reasonably possible.

Customer Responsibilities

  • provide accurate information about the problem or requested work;
  • disclose known faults, leaks or previous issues where relevant;
  • provide safe and reasonable access to the work area;
  • keep children, pets and unnecessary persons away from work areas where appropriate;
  • obtain any necessary permissions from landlords, freeholders or other relevant parties before work begins;
  • tell GX7 about any known hazardous materials or unusual site conditions.

Work, Parts and Materials

GX7 will carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. Parts and materials may vary depending on availability, compatibility and the requirements of the job. Where a specific product or model is important, this should be confirmed as part of the quotation or written agreement. Where additional defects or unsafe conditions are identified, GX7 may recommend further work or temporarily stop work where continuing would be unsafe or inappropriate.

Existing Systems and Hidden Defects

Existing plumbing and heating systems can contain hidden defects, corrosion, weakened fittings, inaccessible pipework or previous installation issues that may not be visible before work begins. GX7 is not responsible for pre-existing defects or failures that were not caused by GX7’s work. Where work exposes an existing issue, GX7 will explain the findings and any recommended next steps.

Prices and Payment

The price and payment terms for individual work will normally be stated in the quotation, invoice or other written agreement provided by GX7. Customers are responsible for paying invoices in accordance with the agreed payment terms, payment methods and any deposit requirements.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact GX7 as soon as possible. Where specific cancellation terms apply to an installation, special-order materials or other work, these should be explained in the relevant quotation or written agreement.

Special-Order Parts and Materials

Some installations or repairs may require parts or materials ordered specifically for the customer’s property. Where special-order items are required, any relevant payment or cancellation conditions should be explained before the order is placed.

Manufacturer Warranties

Some boilers, controls, radiators or other products may be supplied with a manufacturer warranty. The length and conditions of any manufacturer warranty depend on the individual manufacturer, product and applicable terms. Customers are responsible for complying with any servicing, registration or other requirements imposed by the manufacturer where necessary to maintain that warranty. A manufacturer warranty is separate from any rights the customer may have in relation to the services provided by GX7.

Boiler Servicing and Maintenance

Where ongoing servicing or maintenance is recommended or required by a manufacturer, the customer is responsible for arranging this at the appropriate intervals. Routine servicing does not guarantee that an appliance or heating system will remain fault-free.

Safety

GX7 may refuse to carry out, continue or complete work where the engineer considers the situation unsafe, unlawful or outside the scope of their qualifications. Where an unsafe gas appliance or installation is identified, GX7 will follow applicable gas-safety procedures and explain the findings to the customer.

Damage and Liability

GX7 will take reasonable care when carrying out work at the property. GX7 is not responsible for damage arising from pre-existing defects, concealed pipework, fragile surfaces, poor previous workmanship or other conditions that could not reasonably have been identified before the work began. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Customer Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of GX7’s service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the matter and try to resolve it.
